Easy Apple Nachos

Want to make your afternoon snack more exciting but still delicious and nutritious?

Give these apple nachos a try; they’re always a huge hit in our cooking programs!

At their most simple, this snack takes you about 5 minutes to put together and is an easy way to brighten up an afternoon snack that may otherwise be a bit boring day after day.


Easy Apple Nachos

  • Apples; thinly sliced, any variety

  • Peanut/nut/seed butter; melted

  • Chia seeds

  • Hemp hearts

  • Ground flax

  • Granola

  • Coconut; shredded/flaked/fine

  • Mini chocolate chips

  • Dried fruit, chopped

Directions

  • Wash apple; thinly slice into chip-life pieces.

  • Spread out evenly on plate.

  • Drizzle your melted peanut butter/nut or seed butter over the slices.

  • Sprinkle chosen toppings over the peanut butter & apple slices.

  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • All apples work but non-browning varieties like Cortland & Honeycrisp may be more appealing for slow eaters

  • Choose any toppings you want; get creative!
